Jak rozchodit PCMCIA UMTS kartu?

Skoda ze si nam take nenapsal obsah toho nazvu a vendor a product cislo… bylo by to snazsi neco najit. S nejvetsi pravdepodobnosti se bude ovsem jedna o uplne jiny typ karty nez ten ve zminovanem clanku. Ta vase je zrejme PCMCIA native zatimco vodaphone vypada jako USB zarizeni v PCMCIA obalu.

Na ABCLinuxu se objevil jakysi navod pouze na USB zarizeni od T-mobile

coz bohuzel nebude vas pripad.

Obavam se ze se jedna o prilis nove zarizeni a vzhledem k tomu ze T-Mobile dodava ovladace pouze pro windows je dost pravdepodobne ze ve Fedore fungovat nebude. Jistou nadeji by bylo kdyby na podobnem HW uz existovala jina karta a tato mela podobne rozhranni.

Zkuste sem dat relevantni vypis z /var/log/messages, zkusime neco najit.

Za chvili sem pastnu tu zpravu,musim prebootovat a nekam si to zapsat.

To ve me sice vzbuzuje jiste nadeje ze by umts melo fungovat, otazkou je jak se karta bude chovat… nejlepsi mate ulozit se ten vypis na diskovy oddili windows, nebo treba na usb disk abyste to nemusel opisovat.

NTFS mi zatim bohuzel nejde kvuli nemoznosti pouzivani YUMu:) ale pouzil sem USB klicenku zde je cely vypis /var/log/messages:

Bych ovsem i soudil ze je to principielne podobne USB zarizeni jako je zminovane v clanku na wikinerds. Tzn. zkusil bych
rmmod usbserial
pokud probehne bez chyb
modprobe usbserial vendor=0x02f2 product=0x0100

Podle zpravy “cardmgr[1715]: unsupported card in socket 1” bych ale spis hadal ze zarizeni nebude podporovano a pro zacatecnika je v podstate nemozne s tim cokoli udelat.

tak se par dni snazim taky rozchodit 4G kartu http://t-mobile.cz/Web/Residential/Telefony/Telefon.aspx/WebnWalk-4G/Combi-karta/Telefon/316 s ovladacem z http://t-mobile.cz/Web/Residential/TarifySluzby/DatoveSluzby/CoDelatKdyzNelzePouzitTMCC.aspx podle navodu z http://personal.jirik.net/data/tm4g/ipwireless-pcmcia-linux-howto.html, jenze se mi nedarilo; stahl jsem, a s pomoci z #fedora-sk, nainstaloval zdrojaky 2.6.19-1.2895.fc6, jenez pri pokusu MAKE se objevovala hlaska “Don’t know how to build for this kernel version: UTS_RELEASE.”

ted jsem na zase na abclinuxu.cz na http://misc.linuxsoft.cz/OC/4g/ nasel nove ovladace, protoze udajne ty z t.mobile.cz v me verzi jadra nefungujou, jenze pri MAKE se mi nejdriv objevila hlaska, ze neexistuje /lib/modules/2.6.19-1.2895.fc6/build; tak sem ho vytvoril a soubory z /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/kernel-2.6.19/linux-2.6.19-i386 tam prekopiroval, bohuzel bez uspechu, protoze ted MAKE hlasi tohle: http://pastebin.sk/736/

nevite nekdo co s tim?

Je mi to lito ale patlate pate pres devate. Jedine co jde potreboval nainstalovat je balik kernel-devel ktery /usr/lib/modules//build obsahuje - lepe receno jedna se pouze o hlavickove soubory C obsahujici definice, zadne zdrojove kody jadra s nejvetsi pravdepodobnosti nepotrebujete. Uz vubec tam nekopirujte nic se src. Je to tu napsane uz mockrat…

je divny, ze kernel-devel nainstalovany mam a stejne zadnny dir /lib/modules//build nemam!? (nikoliv /usr/lib…)

Hm, a nemate oblibeny problem ze mate nainstalovany kernel i586 ale architekturu i686? Reseni najdete pripadne tady na foru.

a v /lib/modules// mam jen v mc cervene !build a !source ?

Uname vraci aktualni architekturu procesoru, nikoli architektur baliku kernel.

rekl bych ze ovladac nebyl nainstalovan, jelikoz lsmod | grep ipw mi nevypsal nic (a i dioda na karte svitila cervene (coz je spatne.)) a tak jsem se pokusil pomoci
modprobe -a ipwireless_cs v dir s ipwireless_cs.ko (v dir se zdrojaky, nikoliv v …char/pcmcia/) ovladac natahnout a najednou se karta v messages objevilo:

dale jsem chtel (dle http://personal.jirik.net/data/tm4g/ipwireless-pcmcia-linux-howto.html) pokracovat konfiguraci ppp, ale nejak ani ppp ani pppconfig nemohu spustit;
balik ppp.i386 mi yum list ppp hlasi ze je installed;
pomoci yum install pppconfig se nenainstaluje nic;

asi je potreba, v mem pripade, doinstalovat gnome-ppp…tak uvidime

tak jsem doinstaloval gnome-ppp a pokusil se pripojit a zatim nic :frowning:

To jste se dostal docela daleko. Me prijde ze by meli fungovat uz ty prvni pokusy, ale AUTHENTICATION FAILURE mi prijde jako problem s prihlasenim… ty ostatni silenosti modem nikdy ani nezpracuje.

bohužel po 2 dnech sem nic jineho nevymyslel a stale se nepripojim :frowning:
