No mam nenší problém s instalací fglrx .
hodíme to chybu s kernelem

todle me wyhodí Yum

No a prawe nevim cim to je mam FC 6 , a newím jestli architektura i686 je prawe pro muj procik ( Amd athlon xp 2400 + ) jsem nobik v linuxu … Dekuju za pomoc

(sice pro nVidii, ale mně se stalo totéž s Ati:)

This is due to a bug in anaconda (the Fedora Core installer) that accidentally installed an i586 kernel on your i686 machine. Workaround

* switch to the i686 kernel and try again after a reboot
* install the i586 version of the kmod (e.g. run "yum install kmod-nvidia.i586") [/i]

Tak jsem to nainstaloval . Ale nenajel mi Opengl plugin a newim procč . Da se nak zjisti co je za chybu neboc o sjem udelal spatne ?

To podle me neni idealni reseni, protoze treba i glibc je verze i686. A co u vas znamena “nenajel mi opengl plugin”. Vubec nechapu co tim myslite a jak jste na to prisel?

Přeinstaloval jsem Toho kenel na i686 . Pote sem chtel rozjet Ovladace na grafiky (mam Ati radeon 9200 ). V Fc 5 Se me podařilo rochodit nastavení grafiky pomocí Ati Control panel jenže tedka se mi to nedaří .
No stahnul jsem si i birnarku z ati.com (ati-driver-installer-8.28.8.run) . wypada to ze OpenGl akcelerace běží ale nak divne .

Takz jsme se juknul do logu v /usr/share/fglrx

  2. proc nepouzijete predkompilovani ati fglrx driver z livna.org?

Tak sem uplna lama . Kernel-devel jsem nainstaloval … a tedka mi to prozmenu hází jinou chybku

Ja uz nevim co resime…

  1. kernel si preinstaloval na i686 (a restartoval?)
  2. dal si yum -y install kmod-fglrx xorg-x11-drv-fglrx
    Vsechno probehlo v poradku, zadnou chybu to nepise.
  3. restartoval si pocitac

Co ted nefunguje? Vykasli se na ovladace ze stranek ATI - ty baliky kmod-fglrx obsahuji to same co ty od ATI ale je to pripravene pro Fedoru! Jesli tam mas nejaky balik od ATI tak ho odinstaluje nez budes instalovat ten kmod-fglrx.

Uninstalling the ATI Linux Proprietary Driver

Un-installing the ATI Linux Proprietary Driver is dependent on the mode of initial installation.
Automatic or Custom Driver Installations

If the ATI Proprietary Linux Driver was installed using either the Automatic or Custom options, then do the following:

  1. Launch the Terminal Application/Window and navigate to the /usr/share/fglrx folder.
  2. With super user permissions, enter the command “sh ./fglrx-uninstall.sh”

You have now successfully uninstalled the ATI Linux Proprietary Driver.
Package Generation

If the initial installation of the driver was done via the Operating Systems package management software (rpm, apt, etc.) then please use that package management software to remove the ATI Proprietary Linux Driver.

Nevim jak si to instaloval ale pokud z rpm pak
rpm -e fglrx_6_8_0-8.29.6-1.i386.rpm

pokud z instalatoru tak instalatorem, viz vyse.

MIMOCHODEM: precetl sis oznameni na zacatku stranky:

To totiz vypada, ze ati vyhodilo z ovladacu 8.29.6 stare karty. Nebudu rikat nahlas co si o tom myslim. Nicmene instalace ovladacu z livna repozitare ti zrejme nepomuze, protoze tam uz je 8.29.6.

Nezbyde ti tedy nez zkusit rpm (doporucuji) nebo instalator k verzi 8.28.8, ale ta zase mozna nebude fungovat s Xorg ve Fedora 6. Stezovat si muzes u ATI/AMD, nebo pokorne pouzivat ovladac dodavany s Xorg, ktery v sobe zakladni akceleraci ma.

Dekuju moc za pomoc . A juknout na ati me fakt nenapadlo dekuju moc . Aspon si mam s cim hrat . No a takhle me napada jestli by tam neslo nahrat nizssi verzi ovladacu v Fc 5 se mi to povedlo , ale akorat v atipanelu jsem mel krom rychlosti čipu všechno neznámé .

No a takz po odinstalaci teh ovladacu od atiny se me taky rozjeli 3d efekty plochy :slight_smile: … tak aspon neco … nic mene si myslim ye je to k nicemu ,ale hezky se na to kouká :slight_smile:

Btw ja si stahl verzi ati-driver-installer-8.28.8 a zaboha newim proc se mi to nenainstaluje

Ne pouzivam Gnome , jelikoz patram kde se da … tak jsem se docetl ze KDe nepodporuje Tu 3d akceleraci plochy . :frowning:

Pokud vam funguji akcelerovane efekty tak vam funguje i akcelerace - tedy pouze za pouziti OpenSource ovladace ktery je primo v Xorg.

Co se tyce toho problemu s kompilaci. Kdyz jste preinstalovaval ten kernel, musite mit taky odpovidajici kernel-devel pro architekturu i686. V tom bude zrejme problem. V adresari include jsou totiz hlavickove soubory kernelu z baliku kernel-devel. Hodte sem vypis
yum -d0 list kernel-devel

Tak nefim mno … a nemam si treba stahnout kernel-source … protože ja je nikde nenašel : (

Edit . Tak sjem skoušel nainstalovat Enemy teritory … v pohode se to nainstalovalo . a spustilo se to hra bezela krasne ciste ( wypada to ze s OpengGl) , nechapu jak se to udelalo … pro toze v Ati Control Centr me to pise unavaliable :smiley:

Ati control center asi funguje jen s ati proprietarnim fglrx ovladacem. Ty ted zrejme pouzivas ovladac primo z fedory. Pokud to funguje tak to je fajn… proc mas ale v include spatne hlavicky (tedy aspon podle toho fglrx ovladace) to nechapu.
